Bloon seat The Original

We spend a large part of our day sitting. Yet the body isn’t made to stay still.

Bloon was born from this observation and a conviction: sitting better changes everything. Designed by an osteopath and a designer, Bloon is built on a simple yet clever principle — active sitting, allowing the body to stay in motion, even while seated. The seat responds and adapts to your movements, naturally encouraging the spine to realign and the muscles to stay engaged.

With its clean lines, carefully selected materials, and iconic shape, Bloon is both an everyday seat and a true design piece.

Sitting on a Bloon means embracing active sitting. The seat creates subtle micro-movements that gently engage the body and encourage a more natural posture.

EVERY DAY, BLOON HELPS YOU:
• release tension in the back and neck
• keep core and back muscles engaged
• support mobility in the hips and pelvis
• improve blood circulation in the legs
• stay focused and energized throughout the day

For working, reading, connecting, or simply unwinding, Bloon is designed for every moment of your day.

The Original Mottled fabric stands out for its subtly textured look and naturally elegant finish. Its weave combines multiple threads to create a mottled effect that adds depth and character. Both durable and pleasant to the touch, it has been designed to blend seamlessly into a variety of interiors, from the office to the home.

Each Bloon is handcrafted in Portugal, in a specialized workshop where nearly 20 production steps are required to assemble each seat.
This artisanal process ensures refined finishes and long-lasting quality.

Micro-movements,
big changes

Bloon is adopted gradually, just a few minutes a day is enough to start. Very quickly, active sitting becomes natural, and you won’t want to sit any other way.

Seated on the Bloon, your postural muscles gently engage to maintain balance. These continuous micro-movements improve mobility, promote blood circulation and release both physical and mental energy.

When the body is well aligned and in motion, energy flows more freely. Focus comes more easily and mental fatigue recedes. Sensations that often appear within the first few weeks.

Thanks to my physiotherapist

I ordered this ball on my physiotherapist’s recommendation, as I spend a lot of time sitting at my desk… and my back pain has significantly decreased since! I feel less static, and it really helps my concentration.
Plus, my friends enjoy it in the living room at aperitif time!

FAQ

Bloon transforms sitting into a more active seat.

It follows the body’s micro-movements, helping to avoid prolonged stillness and encouraging a more natural posture.

Unlike a traditional chair, Bloon gently engages the deep muscles.
You stay in motion, even while seated, helping to reduce tension linked to sedentary habits.

Bloon is designed to fit standard desk heights (70 to 76 cm). Two sizes are available to suit your height naturally:

  • Medium (55 cm diameter): for people under 1.80 m
  • Large (65 cm diameter): for people 1.80 m and above

Each Bloon is handcrafted in Portugal, using carefully selected materials for their quality and durability.

Its design, conceived as a piece in its own right, allows it to blend seamlessly into any space.

Two factors explain the price differences between models.

First, size: the Large model requires more materials and manufacturing work than the Medium, which is naturally reflected in its price.

Then, the fabric: each Bloon collection is made with materials that have different characteristics and production costs. Some fabrics are rarer, more technical, or more demanding to work with, which impacts the final price. This attention to material selection and craftsmanship makes all the difference, both in the feel and in your interior.

In all cases, whichever model you choose, the benefits for your body remain exactly the same.

The Bloon cover is removable.

For most fabrics, it can be machine washed at 30°C for easy care, and air dried.

Bloon is equipped with a weighted base that keeps it in place, even as you move on the seat.
